We recently ordered two servings of ox cheeks with butter noodles. One portion was 20 euros. The butter noodles were so too salty that they were almost inedible and partly dried out because they were kept warm. The sauce went like that and the cheeks were a bit dry on the edge, because they were kept warm. Unfortunately, the 20 euros were no longer enough for some vegetables as a side dish. I called and complained about the very, very over-salted pasta in a really nice shape. Then there was an "oh sorry, thanks for the call and have a nice evening". A customer-oriented approach works differently. When we picked it up, we had the feeling that we would be disturbing, although we would be happy to support the catering trade in the Corona period by collecting food. After all, it is the same price without sitting relaxed and without serving, etc. We will definitely not go here after Corona either. There is much better in the region in the same price range as e.g. in Schnellingen or Fischerbach.

A historic restaurant with fine cuisine. A good selection of vegetarian dishes, but also very tasty meat dishes. My salad was a little too sweet for me, but it was fresh. Next time I want to turn him on at the table myself. I will come back for sure.

Unfortunately the onion roast was a letdown. He was not medium as ordered but as good as through. The quality of the meat was not convincing and the sauce was completely salty. The wild boar ragout, however, was very good and is recommended.

Food sounds a lot better on the menu than it is. Average. Starter was with ready-made sauce.

Lovely lunch in beautiful square

During our stay in Haslach we dined here twice. The food was very tasty and quite refined for the money. I found starters very original and with surprising flavors. Serving was very correct and polite. The hostess does this with all her passion. I also liked the traditional setting. I recommend it!

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere.

A nice lunch menu, prices very pleasant, the dishes are really homemade and very good. Those who want to eat good home-style food are in the right place here.

I was eating here with my family and it was just amazing. The side dishes were fantastically good from the vegetables to the delicious spaetzle, my family still raves about it today, the house was full and yet we got the food without a long wait, a look in the kitchen left me speechless, when the house was full I only saw a cook (I think the head of the restaurant) and a cook, clean kitchen thumbs up for so much passion and skill, we will come to eat with them much more often and let the food melt on our tongues.

A wonderful ambience and perfect Swabian, Baden food. Everything is cooked with love and you also fulfill some special wishes of the children. The service is super friendly. We felt really good and like to come back. The prices are fair and parking is available .... Une ambiance merveilleuse et une cuisine parfaite. Tout est cuisiné avec amour et l'on réalise aussi des désirs un peu plus spéciaux des enfants. Le service est super amical. Nous nous sommes sentis vraiment à l'aise et nous aimerions revenir. Thank you for the wonderful atmosphere and the great kitchen. We felt very comfortable. Nevertheless, we would like to give a suggestion. Could you choose a background music instead of pop rock radio? Nice would be classical music! Otherwise it was a great evening in your very beautiful and special premises. Very good Badische cuisine, the hosts pay attention to quality ingredients from the region. You can taste it too. Likewise, the beautiful ambience of this traditional inn is always worth a visit. The prices are the perfect quality absolutely adequate, portions are just the right size to get full. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly, absolute recommendation.

The perfect restaurant ever

after visiting the world's biggest cuckoo's clock yesterday with some american friends, they wanted a typical german dining experience from the black forest. so we pulled over on our drive home, then drove just a couple hundred yards into the village, found immediate parking spots. dining outside, a dashing young waitress helped us pull some tables together and took the drink orders. it was perfectly situated close to a road on one side and your typical blackforest village with small shops for window-watching, on the other with children playing in the streets just a stroll away. (there's also a magnificant catholic church nearby who is well worth the walk.) the food was solid, we all ate our fill and prices are reasonable. our american friends will have a great memory.
